To my friends and colleagues,

Did you know that each year over 1,500 Australians will die from melanoma and that it is one of the most common cancers in Australia? 

It has touched me - a routine skin check picked it up and two operations later, I am now in the clear.   Our 'sunburnt country'  has one of the highest rates of melanoma in the world, and I urge you all to have regular skin checks.

I am taking part in the 4km Melanoma March in Manly on Sunday 22nd March to highlight the issue and to help raise funds for ongoing research.
